Ljubljana

85 images Created 12 May 2016

Ljubljana is a delicate labyrinth of cobbled streets, baroque houses and colourful churches like many cities once occupied by the former Austro-Hungarian Empire. Ljubljana still mantains a charming Central European atmosphere, with architectural styles from Art Nouveau to the medieval fortifications. Ljubliana has been declared the European Green Capital 2016 with an old town almost totally closed to traffic, a good example of sustenable eco-city. Ljubliana is the smallest European capital with a distinct soul, made of a beautiful architectural mix, a peaceful atmosphere, and his a contemporary culture hub, a city restyling a beautiful old centre but still maintaining a strong soul.
