MEXICO, CARRETERAS DE PAPEL
Latin America is Utopia's land of a different world, a continent of dreams that revives at every generation. Far from the sickening stereotype exotic of mass tourism, some pages of Mexican writers open the key to comprehending a world that, observed from nearby, is much less heavenly, often cruel or apparently without happiness, but still able of immense hope. Their books can talk about places, but above all, about people and emotions. This visual journey, a project of many years and many trips, is not a list of book locations but wants to talk about the "places of the emotions" that these pages know how to make to be born. A succession of books and authors, certainly incomplete but real fruits of often dazzling encounters with places and people. As Malcolm Lowry wrote in his book Under the Volcano, "He upon whose heart the dust of Mexico has lain will find no peace in any other land."
