Caernafon castle, the Queen's Tower. In 1283 King Edward I of England began to build the walled town and this grand scale castle as administrative centre of north Wales. There was a deliberate link with Caernarfon's Roman past and the castle's walls are reminiscent of the Walls of Constantinople.
