Declared Unesco World Heritage, the old city of Shibam on the incense road is called the "Manhattan of the desert" and is one of the most celebrated Arabic Islamic cities built in traditional style. A collection of nearly 500 skyscrapers built with mud bricks and 5-7 stores high.
