Martano, a small town around Lecce. Luigi Baldari, famous craftsman of the papier-mâché. With the "focheggiatura" the papier-mâché is worked with red-hot tools to mould to the due form. The papier-mâché is obtained in a traditional way, like in Middle Age. The papier-mâché, a pulp of paper and old rags with cellulose, water and paste is boiled and pressed with animals glue and resin size to obtain a dense pulp.
